PAST: Mark Messier

DRAFTED: 48th overall in 1979 by the Edmonton Oilers

One of the members of the Oilers during their success of the 80s, Messier brought his talents to New York in 1991 after being on October 4th 1991.

In 1994, Messier and the Rangers went seven games against the Vancouver Canucks, Messier scored the game winning goal and became the first (and only player) to captain two teams to a Stanley Cup victory.

Messier ended his career in 2004 after 1,756 games and 1,887 points for three teams (the Oilers, Rangers and Canucks) and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007
